Teaching about Evolution

This course focuses on three elements: inquiry and other teaching strategies, use of multimedia in teaching and learning, and ways to apply these to enhance specific content knowledge. Course goals include:

• comparing the use of evidence in scientific investigation and classroom practice;
• examining methods for increasing student understanding of both the evidence for and the processes of evolution;
• exploring ways to improve questioning techniques for both teaching and learning.
